Case Study 2 - Web mashupThe sales arm of an information services company used the site linkedin.com to gather contact information which they then copied into their Salesforce database as leads which they were then able to market to and track etc. However, copying the data across from linkedin was time consuming, error prone. Worst of all the process was tedious, which meant it just didnt get done as much as it should have been so the number of leads processed was too small and the company was generating insufficient sales.
